Alright, y’all. Hope you are sitting down because these photos are going to knock your socks off!
We visited the beautiful Dorothea Dix Park, right outside of Downtown Raleigh for this couple’s engagement session. This spot is a gorgeous choice for so many reasons. It gets a lot of seasonal hype around the time of the sunflower blooms, but I’m here to tell you that it’s not all about the sunflowers!! This park has so much more to offer!
I’m a huge fan of trees and greenery! Swoon! I love this location because it has so many mature trees and Crepe Myrtle trees! They do an amazing job adding some pops of color to the shots.
We got to see a rainbow while we were at the park! How lucky is that?!
Can you imagine a more perfect backdrop for the summer? I’m in love with these gorgeous colors mixed with these wide open spaces!
This location also has some amazing skyline views of the City of Oaks! Since this couple isn’t from the Raleigh area, though, we didn’t prioritize it in our session! Even though this location is just a few miles outside of downtown, I’m obsessed with the way that these photos feel so secluded and away from the hustle and fast-paced vibe of the city!
